For a leading game industry service provider we are recruiting a Business Head - Subscriptions.

You are a subject matter expert in Subscriptions, with prior experience in the video games industry a plus. This role’s primary function is to grow and develop subscriptions tools and services. This strategic position will develop collaborative solutions for video game developers, publishers and close-to-gaming companies. As the Business Head of Subscriptions, you 1) have an entrepreneurial spirit; 2) are a strategic innovator; and 3) have a strong background in advanced payments and/or sales technology.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As the Business Head of a new Business Unit, you will work with Product, Integrations, Business Development, and Marketing teams to build products and drive the development of supporting materials that will enable our client to deliver solutions of value to partners and prospects
  • Budget Development & Sales Profit and Loss
  • Create and develop products for the Business Unit to ensure our client's partners are positioned for success using our tools and services
  • Supervise software development
  • Plan and drive marketing material development, collaborating with Solutions Architects to maintain cohesive messaging
  • Develop long-lasting relationships with target audience and apply and hone business skills in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Work on complex agreements with partners to determine pricing structure, breakdown, and other subscription-related business demands

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

Required

  • 8+ years of progressive experience with partner/business development in any of the following industries: payments technology, sales technology, and subscriptions-related business
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Marketing, Data Science, Business Management, or a related field
  • Prior management experience
  • Ability to successfully participate and lead projects involving cross-functional teams
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to build successful client relationships
  • Established track record of driving revenue
  • Must have a passion for video games
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Deep expertise and relationships with subscriptions-related companies
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service/interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Must be able to immediately handle a significant workload and effectively prioritize projects with a high degree of autonomy
  • Effective time management skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Responsible for closing deals, as well as working with the sales team to generate new leads and progress deals through the sales funnel
  • Ability to motivate and influence teams to meet deadlines
  • Foresee obstacles and plan against them

Preferred

  • Master’s degree
  • 6+ years of experience within the video game industry
  • Experience with an entrepreneurial organization
  • Robust network of game developers, publishers, and close-to-gaming companies
