Job Description

For an unannounced project we are recruiting a Lead Combat (Shooter) Designer

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to initiate, create, prototype and iterate core system of combat for a new multi-platform project (Console and PC)
  • Advanced, overall design in firearm weapon system, abilities and its balance
  • Full ownership of produced high quality combat features from creating conceptual design to its completion
  • Able to adapt and drive various modes of design work from high-level concepts to low-level tuning and balancing
  • Work and coordinate with multidisciplinary crews to achieve common excellence

Qualifications

  • Qualified to work at office located in South Korea
  • English speaker
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Unreal 4 Engine
  • 5 years minimum in shooter game development experience as designer, ideally shipping one or more titles.
  • Experience as a system designer of combat mechanics especially in guns or firearm weapons
  • Deep understanding for modern first-person shooters and RPG systems
  • Comfortable working with iterative development process, prototyping to test feasibility of concepts
  • Positive to adopt new tools and technology
  • Passion for collaboration with other crews
  • Integrity, manage time, strong written and verbal communication skills, self-organized and proactive attitude

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Development experience in shipped AAA titles of similar genre/competitive games
  • Portfolio with examples of your previous work
  • Experience leading a small team in achieving development objectives
